WHAT BOOKS CAN I DONATE?

We are only accepting book donations for the "School Reading Session". We are asking for three copies of each book. Here is a link to the Book Donation List. (Note: Books that are crossed out have already been donated.)

I WANT TO JOIN A READING GROUP.
HOW DO I APPLY?

Great! Applying to join a reading group is simple. Check out our Reading Groups to see the group that best fits you. Then you can complete the questionnaire listed for your group below.

Send your completed questionnaire to morethanabookclubofficial@gmail.com.

Shortly after, we will contact you to confirm or deny your application and move forward from there.

DO I HAVE TO LIVE IN RALEIGH TO JOIN A GROUP?

No! We do suggest that you live in the research triangle region but as long as you are in driving distance and can attend group meetings it won't be a problem.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE IN THE SUMMER READING SESSION AND SCHOOL READING SESSION?

The "Summer Reading Session" is individual reading fron June - August.  During this session you choose what books you want to read from the summer session reading list that is supplied before the session. You (or your parent) will track your reading. When a book is completed you will contact us for a review assignment. (Note: You do not have to read during the summer session. This is a choice. Books during the summer session are not provided to you.)

The "School Reading Session" is group reading. During this session your group leader will choose what books you read from the school session reading list. You will meet with your group periodically to discuss the book and complete the review assignment. (Note: Their will be three copies of each book available for those who do not have access to a library, library app, etc.)

HOW ARE THE GROUP MEMBERS GETTING PAID?

Great question! Each book is worth a certain amount of money depending on the group. The higher the group the higher the pay. At the end of each book your child receives a review assignment.  If you get 3 out of 5 questions on the assignment correct the group leader will mark the book as completed. (Note: Elementary groups can take the review assignment twice per book. Middle school and High school groups can only take this assignment once per book.)


You will receive the money earned only when you have registered for your first semester in college. (Note: you must provide proof from the school and school ID.) Please remember that the money earned while with MTABC is only to be used to further the education of young girls. If you decide not to go to college the money will be held for another upcoming MTABC member.

Throughout the year we will be hosting fundraising events. All profits will go to the funding of these young girls education. These events will have the soul purpose of the girls showing what it is like to be a part of MTABC. It takes a village, and you are a part of ours!

HOW CAN I HELP?

Our team is always in need of more group leaders. If you love reading and are great with children becoming a long term volunteer might be just right for you. We are also looking for event planners for MTABC nonprofit fundraisers. No matter what you want to do we have a place for you so be sure to Contact Us!
